I would not pay any more than about $600 for that one with that little of RAM, vista will not even run on that little! You can always add more, but that could be a hassle, especially if you're not familiar with it. It also depends on what you want to use it for, if you're into gaming, then you might want a more powerful one, but if you just need it to check the internet and type a document once in a while, then it's pretty good. So, just think abut what you need it for, and if you feel that it's the right decision, then get it. I got it new in the UK from play.com (£349) it has a built in webcam and Vista Premium. And if you buy new you will get a warranty and peace of mind. The ram on this Toshiba is rubbish and you will be struggling to do more than one thing at a time.
