Industrial supply companies are companies which supply the industrial sector with goods or products of various kinds, like machinery or various types of tools or equipment.

Some notable industrial supply companies include the following:

•    McMaster-Carr Supply Company – suppliers to industrial and large commercial facilities, distributing nearly half a million products. This industrial supply company is family owned, and relies on its web site and catalogue for driving sales. The company has 5 regional distribution centers in the US.

•    Grainger, Inc. – is a large American company, suppliers of a vast variety of products in the areas of facility maintenance, serving customers in the US and in other countries. Grainer has reached sales of nearly 7 Billion USD in the year 2008, and its shares trade on the New York and Chicago stock exchanges. The company has 600 branches.

•    MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc- a midsize wholesale distribution company, MSC is a distributor of metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations supplies to industrial customers throughout the United States. With approximately 590,000 industrial products from 3,000 suppliers in its portfolio, MSC reaches over 357,000 customers through direct-mail catalogs, the Internet, direct sales and third-party e-commerce Web sites.

•    Fastenal Company (Fastenal)- this large company  sells industrial and construction supplies in more then 2300 stores located in the US and other countries. The  Fastenal company operates 14 distribution centers, and its products are grouped into not less then 10 different product lines, including cutting tools, hydraulics and pneumatics, material handling, safety supplies, metals  and more.
