I have heard something about development of an external video card that can be used in the Express card slots…. are these for sale yet, and if so, where could i get one?
If not, how is the development going so far?

actually there are some external video cards for laptops for the express card slots.
The problem is the only ones that are good enough for gamming (ASUS XG station) are only sold in Australia.
It doesn’t exist yet. They started toying with the idea years ago but there’s been tons of significant problems. I wouldn’t be surprised if the idea was shelved.
In short, buy a laptop with a good video card. Don’t expect external video cards anytime soon.
