My dad says it’s cheaper to buy a new printer that comes with ink, than it is to refill ink cartridges.
Is this generally true? If not, what are some other options?
Also where can you properly dispose/recycle empty cartridges?
What can I do with old printers?

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R220, and i ran out of ink, now the cartridges are quite expensive, are there any websites or stores that carry the cartridges for this printer?

i print many documents, mostly black and white every week. I currently have a hp psc 1315. Its a cheap printer however, the ink cartridges are so expensive. i’ve tried using refills but they never work – as in, they clog up after printing 10 pages

I want to know if there is a printer that can satisfy these criteria:
Less than 200 dollars
Color ink cartridges are separated
Cost for all 3 color cartridges is less than 17 dollars [compatable non-oem cartridges are allowed] (without refilling)
